The Mexican Mint was founded in 1535, when the Viceroy Antonio de Mendoza arrived to the New Spain, bringing with him a royal order, from the Spanish Crown to establish the first Mint in America. For three and a half centuries, silver and gold coined by the Mexican Mint, were the basis of money circulating in the country and became an export product. The quality in the manufacture of coins and its extensive circulation in the world, gave the Mexican Mint, the presence and international prestige that retains to this day. In the twentieth century becomes into an industrial entity dedicated to the production of circulating coinage as well as fine coins. Now, in addition to the national coinage, the Mexican Mint coins commemorative pieces of high quality for different customers, with competitive costs and the guarantee of the Mexican Mint.
